RapidMooc facilitates the creation of video content, have you noticed an evolution of the educational uses since the health crisis? 

Fabrice Mercier : “It’s clear that the health crisis has led to an unprecedented need for video content in order to continue training and teaching activities. More generally, the demand for e-learning has increased by 400% and this market has exceeded $250 billion by 2020 according to Global Market Insights.

The most striking change is the massive use of meetings and remote courses via solutions such as Zoom or Teams, which are now almost universally used. Being in front of a webcam on a daily basis has eliminated many inhibitions about video recording. Organizations can benefit from this new situation to involve as many people as possible in the creation of content and promote knowledge sharing, particularly via UGC (User Generated Content).

With the return of students and employees in-person, the search for a work/home balance has become a priority for everyone. This leads to rethink the workspaces to integrate innovative solutions that promote creative and participative hybrid activities. Rapidmooc is totally aligned with this approach and has recently partnered with Steelcase to offer joint innovative solutions.”

What are the benefits of a solution like “RapidMooc Studio”?

Fabrice M. : “In the last few years, video has become the main medium for knowledge transmission. Rapidmooc has enabled hundreds of customers to democratize the production of training and communication videos by internalizing easy-to-use recording studios that are accessible to everyone in self-service.

Having such a capacity to produce professional videos in total autonomy is a real asset to meet the many challenges of digital transformation at controlled costs. In many cases, it even translates into substantial savings compared to previous approaches to video content creation. The autonomy provided by a Rapidmooc studio also makes it possible to free oneself from technical and logistical constraints, thus saving time so that one can focus on the essentials, notably the preparation of the script, creativity and the quality of the presentation media.

For the animation of courses or remote meetings, we have integrated the main webmeeting solutions in 2019. By being immersed in the Rapidmooc studio environment, standing in front of the terminal, the speakers can finally find a professional posture that is conducive to the expression of a non-verbal language that strongly contributes to the general quality of the exchanges and to the increase of the participants’ attention. It is also possible to connect additional devices such as a document reader, a second camera or a graphic tablet in order to have an enhanced recording studio.

A true media training tool, Rapidmooc offers an excellent opportunity to train and progress in the mastery of oral and non-verbal communication. What are your ambitions for the coming years?

Fabrice M. : “We took advantage of the 2020 lockdown periods to completely rethink our product range and develop a new, even more intuitive application. The result is a range of three Rapidmooc devices adapted to different video recording contexts, including in mobility. The promotion of these new products is our priority with the aim of accelerating our international development and meeting a universal need. At the same time, we obviously want to continue to innovate while keeping the Rapidmooc DNA of technological solutions accessible to all, at the service of knowledge development.

With our new range of Rapidmooc kiosks, we also aim to take part in the ongoing revolution in the adaptation of workspaces to hybrid modes, which we believe to be one of the major challenges facing organizations. This is to improve the well-being and the experience of the collaborator in the office and to provide him with innovative solutions that he does not have in telecommuting. In this respect, we are working in collaboration with Steelcase, a world leader in workspace design, to propose an innovative check-in box concept that is perfectly integrated into its environment.

Another area of development for the next few years is to extend our rental and support services. We have built up significant experience in this area with our Rapidmooc Spaces, places for exchange and creativity set up in friendly co-working spaces where it is possible to create videos or take part in training. In the future, we would like to offer this expertise on a larger scale to help our clients make the best use of their studios and to expand the Rapidmoocers’ community!”
