Matthieu Poupard

Director of partnerships – Klaxoon

“Alone or in teams, onsite or remote, the all-in-one workspace”.

Klaxoon is a collaborative work solution widely used in companies, how is it an asset for students and universities?

Matthieu Poupard: “While Klaxoon tools are indeed used in a professional context by millions of users every day, it is important to remember that our solution has always been and continues to be used increasingly in higher education.

It is interesting to note, however, that the uses are evolving, and this is what makes our software suite so interesting for students and universities today. From the first pedagogical uses to facilitate student engagement and participation (our Meeting, Quiz, Adventure apps, etc.), now anchored in teaching habits, to the more recent development of uses for our visual collaboration tool Board Hybrid, Klaxoon’s tools allow us to both rethink the learning experience while serving more efficient teamwork for faculty and staff (meetings, workgroup facilitation, visual project management, etc.).

These collaborative uses are of increasing interest to decision-makers in higher education for their students: remote or hybrid group work, visual management, meeting facilitation, all soft skills that the use of Klaxoon tools can develop in the daily study for these future graduated students.”

You’ve just launched Board Hybrid, specially designed for hybrid work, what is it about?

Matthieu P.: “Launched less than a year ago to meet the challenges of remote work, the Board tool developed by the Klaxoon teams is a digital whiteboard of infinite size augmented by a library of ready-to-use work methods and an integrated videoconferencing system.

As organizations move towards a more hybrid form of work (and learning!) organization, Klaxoon has naturally evolved its product to effectively address these issues (new in their importance, but pre-existing in the current crisis for distributed/multi-site organizations). With Board Hybrid, Klaxoon’s technology offers a smoother collaboration experience whether in a face-to-face or remote environment, while allowing people to work synchronously or asynchronously at their own pace.

Board Hybrid is enriched with new features such as a range of graphical tools to unleash the team’s creativity, storage and visualization of all types of documents/files directly from the Board interface, as well as an increased capacity of the videoconferencing system (up to 250 people connected).

What are Klaxoon’s ambitions for the future?

Matthieu P.: “As part of the acceleration of our use in universities, Klaxoon is committed to providing students with more structured support to help them prepare for the hybrid work world that awaits them. In addition to using our technology in their day-to-day studies, we want to work more closely with our university partners to develop practical curricula (training modules, badges, certifications) that will enable them to master the fundamentals of modern teamwork in order to develop their employability. This is a dynamic that we have initiated with historical partners but to which we are going to give an international dimension within the framework of a Hybrid Work Initiative bringing together universities from the four corners of the globe.”
